Téion G. Williams - "The Greatest War known to mankind is the war with Self"©

As you go along through life you realize more and more the value of having peace of mind. It's importance grows with every experience but it often eludes us for one reason or another; fleeting somewhat. You can either LIVE or just be alive, many of us are just alive but not living, as in not really feeling and in-tune with life on a daily basis, not knowing our purpose whether spiritually, socially, professionally etc. so we operate in a subpar, miserable and internally destructive manner.
Happiness or Peace cannot be honestly experienced without conquering self, without being able to control the desires of the flesh and steering away from self destructive ways. No amount of materialistic gain or social recognition can win such a war that continuously goes on in the innermost chambers of the mind and heart! It takes continuous self discipline and self love to win that war against self and until you start fighting that war you will remain but chaff in the wind being led by your past and your circumstances instead of being the leader in your life.©

Ask yourself....©

Ask yourself: if you weren't TOLD about God would you come to believe or know God exists, or a God exists? And if so how would you go about finding out or knowing about God? If you weren't told marijuana was a DRUG what would you call it? What would you think about it? If you agree that homosexuality is wrong what made you agree to that? Was it because you were told to think it was wrong or you concluded from your own introspection or independent research and thought processes that it's wrong? How many things do we live by because we were told to do so and not because we did our own self analysis? How many of us are robots as opposed to rational thinking beings? How many of us are zombies as opposed to living?©

Am I? Are we? Should I? Should we? ©

Is it a lack of love for oneself why one would willingly indulge in activities that directly and consciously bring forth destruction? Is it a lack of love or a lack of fear; or a lack of understanding? Who am I to judge whether or not a man loves himself? How do I even know if someone loves his/herself? Is it my business if someone loves his/herself, and if it is my business, is it always my business? If it is not always my business, at what time does it become my business? If a man smiles in the midst of his own self inflicted destruction, does it mean he's comfortable in his destruction? Should it be anyone's responsibility or duty to solve that mystery? Should I be my brother's or sister's keeper? Or should I just mind my own business? I'm torn! So please; answer me... Am I? Are we? Should I? Should we?
