Something of Value I came across

In his last public address to an annual conference of the PNP, he said: "I say that the mission of my generation was to win self-government for Jamaica, to win political power which is the final power for the black masses of my country from which I spring. I am proud to stand here today and say to you who fought that fight with me, say it with gladness and pride, mission accomplished for my generation.

"And what is the mission of this generation? ... It is... reconstructing the social and economic society and life of Jamaica". Norman Manley died on September 2. 1969.

Man and his worst enemy...himself ©

Man has this great temptation and urge for discord at times, that if left unchecked could cause destruction to those around him/her and even to his/herself. It's this deep seated anger buried from ignored discord whether internally or externally. Anger is this realm often left unexplored by those who it affects the most, it remains unexplored up until the point where one can no longer ignore it; until it destroys something precious. Many devils we fight on life's journey, none as sly and destructive as anger! From anger towards self we think lowly of ourselves, from anger towards self and others we give ourselves over to greed, from anger towards self and God we breed hatred towards mankind. As I seek to master self, I learn more the role anger plays in the destruction of mankind. It's more than a word or emotion, it's an entity coloured with tears and blood, traveling within us at subatomic levels polluting and holding captive every fibre and cell of our beings; seeking, feeding and devouring every ounce of hate in whichever form.

So send the warning to whichever mind you can about this aggressive paradox, for what you think is something else is nothing more than anger disguised. All ill trees find their roots here and all forms of significant and sincere success had to once defeat this enemy. Good-morning.©
